Charlene Rudolph is the sister of Wilma Rudolph, who became the first American woman to win three Gold Medals in one Olympiad, in Rome in 1960. In addition to winning the 100 meter dash, Wilma brought home the gold in the women’s 200 meter dash, and with team mates Martha Hudson, Barbara Jones and Lucinda Williams won the Gold Medal in the women’s 400 meter relay.
